About Doug
Following a needless catastrophic injury to a lifelong friend, Doug founded The Winters Law Group with a commitment to holding corporations and insurers accountable. He represents injury victims, homeowners, and commercial property owners, and concentrates his practice on first-party property insurance litigation, personal injury, and product liability,
In his first-party property practice, Doug has successfully represented homeowners, churches, condominium associations, and businesses in disputes involving underpayment, bad faith, appraisal, and total-loss claims arising from hail, tornadoes, fire, freeze-thaw events, and other covered losses.
Doug also maintains a substantial personal injury practice, and has successfully represented his clients against multi-billion-dollar corporations, with significant experience in wrongful death and severe injury cases, including limb amputations caused by defective UTVs and Side-by-Side off-road vehicles.
Doug has recovered millions for clients in Missouri, Illinois, and across the United States.
He was named a Super Lawyers® Rising Star—an honor awarded to less than 2.5% of Missouri attorneys—every year from 2018-2026.
