About Doug
Following a needless catastrophic injury to a lifelong friend, Doug founded The Winters Law Group with a commitment to holding corporations and insurers accountable. He represents injury victims, homeowners, and commercial property owners, and concentrates his practice on personal injury, product liability, and first-party property insurance litigation.
Doug has successfully represented his clients against multi-billion-dollar corporations, with significant experience in severe injury cases, including limb amputations caused by defective UTVs and Side-by-Side off-road vehicles. Over nearly a decade of related litigation, he has analyzed thousands of rollovers, hundreds of fatalities, and dozens of amputations.
He also maintains a substantial first-party property practice, representing homeowners, churches, condominium associations, and businesses in disputes involving underpayment, bad faith, appraisal, and total-loss claims arising from hail, tornadoes, structural failure, freeze-thaw events, and other covered losses.
Doug has recovered millions for clients in Missouri, Illinois, and across the United States.
